Slip on flange is the same as the flat welded flange. BS4504 304 Slip On Flange connects to the equipment or pipeline through fillet welds. It is made of stainless steel 304, which tends to have excellent mechanical properties like high tensile strength, good toughness, good hardness as well as good resistance to corrosion. This type of flange slides on the pipe and the interior design is slightly larger than the pipe. So the top and bottom of the flange can be fillet welded directly to the equipment or pipe.
